Approach Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people, staff, and visitors. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form.

What is Modern Slavery?

Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of human rights. It can take many forms, including:

  • Human trafficking 
  • Forced or compulsory labour 
  • Domestic servitude 
  • Child exploitation 
  • Criminal exploitation, including county lines activity 
  • Debt bondage and other forms of coercion 

Our Responsibilities

We are committed to:

  • Maintaining safe recruitment and employment practices. 
  • Promoting safeguarding awareness among staff. 
  • Ensuring concerns are reported and acted upon promptly. 
  • Working with local authorities, safeguarding partners, and external agencies where concerns arise. 
  • Encouraging staff, pupils, parents, and visitors to report any concerns about exploitation or abuse.
