Approach Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people, staff, and visitors. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form.
What is Modern Slavery?
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of human rights. It can take many forms, including:
- Human trafficking
- Forced or compulsory labour
- Domestic servitude
- Child exploitation
- Criminal exploitation, including county lines activity
- Debt bondage and other forms of coercion
Our Responsibilities
We are committed to:
- Maintaining safe recruitment and employment practices.
- Promoting safeguarding awareness among staff.
- Ensuring concerns are reported and acted upon promptly.
- Working with local authorities, safeguarding partners, and external agencies where concerns arise.
- Encouraging staff, pupils, parents, and visitors to report any concerns about exploitation or abuse.
